She has helped for SLS implementation within the Company. This was within a general project using NLP for documentary search specially in standards and REX helping non specialist people in knowledge enhancement.

Claude Fauconnet

claude.fauconnet@gmail.com, has worked half of his career as a petroleum geologist within a large energy company, specializing in basin synthesis and geo-petroleum studies. In this context, he had to handle numerous and heterogeneous data, which led him to use advanced computer technologies for data recovery. the same company, first as project manager for the creation of business web applications then within the Group’s Digital Innovation entity. In this context, he explored and promoted innovative information technologies including the semantic web, search engines, Big data and graphs with different businesses.

From 2017 he has continued a consulting activity and developed the open source SousLeSens application in collaboration with various partners.

Chirine GHEDIRA GUEGAN

chirine.ghedira-guegan@univ-lyon3.fr, Full Professor of Computer Science at the IAE-Lyon School of Management at Jean Moulin Lyon 3 University with multiple responsibilities, including Manager of Research Development at IAE-Lyon and Co-Head of the Service-Oriented Computing Research Team at the LIRIS Laboratory (a research unit of the CNRS).

Her research and expertise align with SLS’s objectives and goals for the large-scale, intelligent integration of heterogeneous data sources to support decision-making in the co-evolution of distributed systems.

Pierre Kiener

pkg631.rpa@free.fr, is a senior expert in the field of industrial elastomer synthesis with a practical experience ranging from initial process design to construction and improvement once in production.

His close involvement in industrialization, engineering, production activities, as well as polymer and catalyst chemistry, process engineering, safety, and digital technology in industrial environments, has made him highly sensitive to the importance of knowledge sharing and expertise management.

Recognizing the potential of Semantic Web technologies for those purposes has led him to take an interest in tools and methods that could promote their appropriation and facilitate their adoption by professionals in industrial and academic circles.

His involvement with SLS@ is aimed at raising awareness of this technology within public and private professional circles as well as academic institutions.

Jean-Charles Leclerc

jcleclercassos@gmail.com, representing data and models standards on behalf of a large energy company where he has worked for more than 25 years across complex data and digital-coordination programs.

He serves on the Board of Directors of the POSC Caesar Association, and as an AFNOR delegate and expert contributing to several data-standardization efforts within ISO TC184 SC4 and ISO/IEC JTC1. He also is a member of the IOGP JIP36 CFIHOS Steering Committee since 2020, where he sponsors and contributes to a dedicated Semantic Working Group.

Since the World Economic Forum set its ambition in 2020, he has been actively supporting the ‘data-exchange challenge’ in our industry, driven by many innovative initiatives, especially since he met Claude Fauconnet in 2017 and co-created, from 2021 onward under its leadership, what SousLeSens has become today.

Andreas Neumann

andreas.neumann@freelancecatalyst58.de, has spent over 35 years at Siemens AG and Siemens Energy, where he pioneered the integration of ontologies into corporate data governance frameworks, laying the groundwork for semantic interoperability in industrial environments.

Now an independent engineer officially retired in 2024, he remains actively engaged in shaping standards and methodologies for knowledge representation.

His contributions span multiple international working groups, including ISO/TC 184/SC 4/WG 26 on ontology-based interoperability, IEC/TC 3/SC 3D/WG 2 for component classification and technical data definitions, and the European Arrowhead fPVN project (Work Package 3), where he advances semantic consistency in digital ecosystems. He also participates in the IDTA Ontology Working Group and the ECLASS CRD adhoc group (W3C WoT/TD), driving alignment between industrial needs and formal semantic standards.

Karim Ounnoughi

ounnoughikarim@gmail.com, has spent 4 years working on semantic digital twins and knowledge graphs in industrial energy environments, and has contributed to the development of the SousLeSens platform. This experience showed him two things clearly: semantic web technologies are powerful, and they remain widely ignored or misunderstood by the people who would benefit from them most.

Arkopaul Sarkar

arkopaul@gmail.com, is an expert in intelligent system design for industrial applications, with a strong focus on knowledge engineering for high-impact business decision-making.

He currently serves as a Professor at the University of Technology of Tarbes (UTTOP), France, and as a Guest Researcher at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), USA. Throughout his career, he has worked at the intersection of formal methods, industrial systems, and decision support. He has drawn attention to SLS because it explicitly targets an end-to-end, professional-grade knowledge engineering environment—one that is rigorous by design, yet usable under real industrial constraints. This combination is rare, and it directly addresses a gap that practitioners encounter with many existing tools.

Gregory TETARD

tetard.gregory@gmail.com, started his professional career in developing operating manuals and any other kind of documents related to field operations of O&G industrial facilities for “humans to operate complex industrial assets” thanks to informational objects, being scanned copies of paper documents (pdf).

He then had to develop tools and practices to move information from scanned documents (pdf) to databases having limited OCR technologies available at the time, using the Adobe Acrobat suite and its associated license model. This was before 2003. Then came the need for database population, with accurate data to feed information systems based on ERP solutions (SAP, etc.), where humans had to extract information from information objects (PDFs) and convert it into tables and columns to supply the “machines”.

Founding members Note: Founding members are board members as well Annie Audibert-Hayet aah.SLSasso@gmail.com, retired from a large energy company, 40 years as a researcher, professor in engineering schools & universities and then as petroleum architect followed by General secretary of Corporate Technology Group at the scientific division of a large group. She has launched and […]

["post-18","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry
["GET
